Recommendation : Newsletter I read (1)
Sorry for the delay.Hope you guys like this.
This time I recommend some newsletter I read, which also the reason why I try write something. And as kind of a writer, what I think about writing.
1.avc.com
From USA Fred.He almost write everyday about all aspects. For me,it’s all about one cultured person's thoughts about current career and future trends, occasionally about topicality. His words are kind of full of confidence and self-reflection.
Ben Thompson is an insightful people. He output of very high quality long articles regularly. Covers many popular economic/tech areas. It's hard to imagine being able to think so deeply about so many things.Fortunately, not only his articles are long and updated not too often, I can study and learn carefully.
Manny Li's newsletter is a presentation of popular business models, mainly in the area of technology and business models.
For me, it's an eye opener because once you get caught up in your work, it's hard to keep track of everything and social media is too much noise, so it's a good way to get information.
Here are my thoughts on writing. Currently, I see writing falling into three categories, as follows:
1 Narrative events (detailed descriptions, summaries, practical exercises throughout the text)
2 in-depth analysis (sorting out principles, establishing connections that are not well known to the general public)
3 abstract (1. something to tell 2. can be told in abstracted language)
I don't means 1 is not as good as the 3.It just means,1 to 2 to 3,it need different abilities.
1 need to collect all stuff.(Time)
2 need know the mathematical formulas or modeling,or need know someone others don't know.(Expertise or special relationships)
3 need about logic. This requires the logical construction of a theory/abstract theory and then expressing it in abstract discourse.(Logic and Philosophy)
